Issue 004: What a Useful Marketing Skill Actually Contains

The newsletter version of Vibegrow's article on turning prompts into reusable marketing skills.

Hi,

A prompt tells your AI agent what to do right now.

A skill tells the agent how to do the work well every time the job appears.

That is the difference we care about at Vibegrow.

Most weak AI marketing output is not weak because the wording is bad. It is weak because the agent skipped the judgment behind the task.

A useful marketing skill preserves six things:

  • the trigger
  • the required inputs
  • the process
  • the quality bar
  • the output shape
  • the handoff

That means the agent knows when to load the framework, what context to collect, which steps to follow, what bad output looks like, what artifact to produce, and what should happen next.

The practical test:

If your file only says "write better copy," it is probably still a prompt.

If it tells the agent when to use it, what to ask for, how to reason, what to reject, and how to format the result, it is becoming a real skill.

That is the layer Vibegrow is building for CRO, copy, SEO, lifecycle, pricing, research, paid ads, content, and growth.
